Trim and Flashing
The terms “Trim” and Flashing” are both generally used to describe the metal pieces that complete the coverage provided by the roofing panels. There are different types Trim for different uses on the roof. There are wall flashings, ridge flashings, valley flashings, and more. We produce standard profiles for each of these, but we can also make custom-made profiles to fit our customers’ particular needs. Speak to one of our sales representatives for more information.
Here are some of our Standard Profiles. Click on the images for a closer look.
Ridge Cap
Ridge Cap is the trim that “caps” the top of two slopes of a roof. We offer two profiles: the Wide Ridge Cap and the Standard Ridge Cap.

Rake Trim
Rake trim is the flashing that goes over the gable edge of the roof, down the length of the panels. It has a profiled top that is designed to fit over the rib of the panel and a flat “face” that goes vertically down the fascia and ends with a 1/2″ “kick” to divert rain from the face of the wall.
“W” Valley
Valley trim is the flashing at the low point of two slopes. The “W” shape of our valley provides an additional diverter to channel water flow from the roof.
Eave Trim/Drip Edge
Eave Trim, also called Drip Edge, is the flashing at the bottom of the slope of a panel. It sits on top of the fascia and under the bottom edge of the panel. Our standard Eave Trim has a 2 1/2″ face with a 1/2″ angled “kick” to divert water from the face of the house.
